Notes: These booklets are extremely rare and few still exist. They were originally issued as part of the initial stamp issue for the 1974 Flowers series of definitives and in his book ‘The Stamps of Barbados’ Edmund Bayley notes that the stamps included in the booklet, the 5c, 8c, and 15c, all in blocks of 4, were specially printed for inclusion in these stamp wallets. Unfortunately, he fails to elaborate on how many of these were produced nor how the stamps were separated for inclusion within the booklet.
Each booklet comes contained within its own plastic wallet and inside there are three blocks of the 5c, 8c, and 15c denominations. The last one of these appearing at auction was described by the British West Indies Study Circle as “Small, inconspicuous but, we suspect, quite scarce stamp booklet containing mint blocks of 4 of orchids 5c, 8c and 15c – SG489, 490, 493 not listed by SG”
