Great news this week as it was revealed that a brand new single stamp was issued by the Barbados Philatelic Bureau on Monday 10th November 2025.
The issue was a national initiative of the Government of Barbados and a launch was held on Tuesday 11th at the offices of the Ministry of Culture.
‘We Gatherin’ is a Government initiative to encourage Barbadians from all over the world to return to Barbados during 2025 to help celebrate their roots and culture. Backed by Prime Minister Mia Motley, the programme of events shines a spotlight on different parishes in different months, and is backed by a website that covers everything that is on offer during the year.
Here’s a sneak peek at the new stamp, just a single 65c value for use on internal mail within the island, so sure to be fairly hard to find postally used anywhere else in the world, and there will be no First Day Cover created for this issue.
