Ever since news broke that Barbados Philatelic Bureau would be participating in this year’s Dove of Peace issue, we’ve been inundated with people asking for stamps and first day covers. There have been many comments on my original June blog post and I’ve received emails separately from people desperate to get their hands on this one stamp.
From correspondence it seems that Barbados will be the last country to issue this stamp in 2025 and I can announce on this blog, that the date of issue will be Monday 8th December 2025.
I can also reveal exclusively that the stamp will be at the $2.20 value, making it one of the cheapest so far in the Joint Issue, and most importantly it will be embroidered! This is the very first time anything like this has been produced by Barbados and for many it will complete their collection of this issue which so far includes:
Åland
Armenia
Austria
Barbados
Cyprus
Faroe Islands (Denmark)
Greenland (Denmark)
Liechtenstein
Luxembourg
Switzerland
United Nations — Geneva, New York, and Vienna offices
On top of these, the UPU (the Universal Postal Union) also issued a couple of collectible items.
Stocks of these stamps will be dispatched in early December and I will make them available on this website on a first come first served basis the moment they arrive. Whilst I’ve asked for quite a number, I’m sure they will sell out fast so keep checking back for announcements of their arrival.
