Hi, I have one of these exact same stamps but with a diffferent cancellation . The cancellation is centered on the stamp and like suns rays. Is this the same kind of rarity ? I woul be happy to send you a scan of the stamp. Discovered in a Schwaneberger stamp album from 1938

Hi Richard,
From what you describe it sounds very much like a standard ‘bootheel’ cancellation. Check on the gallery https://www.barbadosstamps.co.uk/galleries/queen-victoria/ and if it looks similar to SG49 then that’s what you have. These aren’t rare, it’s just the one in this article that is rare.
